De par sa matière, qui est à la fois du temps, de la projection et du souvenir, le cinéma peut faire une échographie de l’Histoire en faisant sa propre échographie. Et donner une vague idée du temps et de l’histoire du temps. Puisque le cinéma, c’est du temps qui passe. Si on se servait des moyens du cinéma – qui est fait pour ça –, on obtiendrait un certain mode de pensée qui permettrait de voir les choses.»
